How MarketSizer's Credit Pricing Works

Search, filter and score your market before you spend a single credit. That is where MarketSizer's pricing starts, and it is the part most buyers only believe once they try it.

What costs credits is the moment you decide an account is worth acting on. Seat licences and multi-year contracts ask for the commitment first and let you judge the data second. Credits reverse that order.

What is free, and what costs credits

Browsing, searching, filtering and reading an account's Opportunity Score are free. Credits are spent on four actions: identifying an account, activating an opportunity, finding contacts and exporting.

The score and its three ratings are visible before the identify step, so you can rank a market without paying to see a single name.

Why a stronger opportunity costs more

The credit cost of activating an opportunity is its Opportunity Score multiplied by 10, with a minimum of 5. A five-star opportunity costs 50 credits. A 3.5-star opportunity costs 35. A half-star account costs 5.

The score runs from 0.5 to 5 stars in half-star steps and combines three ratings.

ICP Match asks whether the company resembles the customers you win. Purchase Intent looks at what has changed that makes it worth investigating now, such as a newly observed competing product. Win Probability compares the situation with relevant historical outcomes. For the full definition, see what a qualified opportunity is.

No one sets a price for an individual account. The same rule prices every one of them, and the cost appears on the unlock button before you click.

The score is a prioritisation model, not a prediction. A five-star opportunity costs more because the evidence behind it is stronger, not because a sale is assured.

What you never pay for

  • Browsing your market. Search, filter and see each account's Opportunity Score without spending a credit. Revealing a company's name costs 1 credit.
  • Seats and platform access. Credits are spent on actions you take, never on seat licences.
  • Pushing to your CRM. Sending an account to your CRM never costs credits.
  • Contact searches that find no one. If no people are found at a company, or you already have them, it costs nothing.
  • Re-opening an unlocked account. You and your teammates are not charged again to open an account that is already unlocked.

What you see before you spend a credit

Three things, every time.

The cost. The credit cost sits on the unlock button, so there is no total to discover afterwards.

The score and what is behind it. The Opportunity Score and its ICP Match, Purchase Intent and Win Probability ratings are visible before you spend. You can disagree with a score before it costs you anything.

Your credit history. Your history lists each deduction you made, the company it was for and the reason. A month-end review is a read, not an investigation.

Why credits instead of seats

A seat licence charges you for who can log in. A credit charges you for what you choose to do. A team of two and a team of twenty that each activate 40 opportunities a month spend the same credits.

Many enterprise data contracts work the other way round: the commitment comes first and the evidence second. One published example, with its source and the date we checked it, is on our comparison with HG Insights.

Plans start at €245 a month, billed yearly, for 2500 credits, and run up to 30000 credits a month. The pricing page lists every band. To put the unit in context, identifying and activating one five-star opportunity takes 51 credits, about €5 on the entry plan.

What credits do not promise

Credits do not promise a closed deal, and the Opportunity Score does not either. They buy you a better-informed decision about where to spend your team's time.

MarketSizer does record what happens next. A conversion is recorded when your product is newly observed on an account you activated, when you mark the deal as won in the app, or when you upload your closed-won deals. You are notified in the app. Accounts that already used your product before you activated them are not counted.

Credits are spent when you identify, activate or unlock something, not when an account converts.

One more honest limit: how many five-star opportunities exist in your market varies, and that is a conversation about your market, not a line on a pricing page.

FAQs

How does MarketSizer's credit pricing work? You browse, search and filter for free, then spend credits on four actions: identifying an account (1 credit), activating an opportunity (5 to 50 credits by Opportunity Score), finding and unlocking contacts, and exporting from Discovery. Pushing an account to your CRM is free. The cost is shown before you click.

Is browsing really free? Yes. Search, filtering and each account's Opportunity Score cost nothing. The one thing you pay for at this stage is revealing a company's name, which is the identify step at 1 credit. That means you can rank and filter a whole market before deciding which names are worth revealing.

How much does a five-star opportunity cost? Activating a five-star opportunity costs 50 credits, because the cost is the Opportunity Score multiplied by 10. Identifying it first adds 1 credit, so 51 credits in total, about €5 on the entry plan. Lower-scoring accounts cost less, down to a minimum of 5 credits to activate.

Do I pay again if a teammate already unlocked an account? No. Unlock state is shared across your organisation, so you and your teammates are not charged again to open an account that is already unlocked. Each different kind of unlock, such as identifying, activating or unlocking contact details, is its own action and is charged once.

Do you charge when an account becomes my customer? No. Credits are spent when you identify, activate or unlock something, not when an account converts. MarketSizer records conversions and notifies you in the app, so you can see which opportunities became customers, but a conversion does not cost credits.

Are there per-seat fees? No. The plan price is a monthly credit allowance, and credits are spent on actions, never on seat licences. Credits sit in a shared pool for your organisation, so the whole team draws from the same balance, and adding a colleague does not add a fee.

Can I try it before paying? Yes. You can start a free trial with no credit card, or book a demo to see MarketSizer applied to your own market. The trial is a fully working version, limited in volume, so you see how credits behave on your own accounts.
